Seeking answers to the missing Olympians, Nyx guides you to the Ancient Desert where you must overcome the devastating heat and four new shrines to unlock the gates of Poseidon's temple; however, be warned, Spartan! His most powerful and loyal champions continue to guard his palatial oasis.

Continuing off of our previous update, "Desert Reign" expands Dawn of Defiance with a new raid zone, complete with new boss fights, new legendary gear, and new facilities, plus weather mitigation and the long awaited character creator!

Raid Puzzles

Within the Temple of Athena, complete mini challenges and lesser boss battles to unlock the sanctums!

Apollo Shrines

To break Apollo's seal, steady your arrow and rapid fire through the lighted targets of his shrine.

Ares Shrines

Wielding one of three weapons, fight in Ares' arenas and slay the mighty bronze boar to break his seal.

Hephaestus Shrines

Complete the light puzzles within the carved crags of the Dark Forest to break Hephaestus' seal on Athena's Shrine.

THE CROWNBREAKER

A colossus clad in tidal-forged armor, the minotaur Taurok is sealed away beneath the palace gardens. Those who descend into his pit find not a mindless beast, but a wrathful sentinel who stands for what was lost, and what shall never rise again.

POWERFUL REWARDS

In addition to two new arrow types, "Desert Reign" adds multiple new weapons in two tiers, including three unique items from each of the three raid bosses. Unlock two additional, unique armor sets: the Signifier set and the Primus set.

NEW QUESTS

Before you may enter Poseidon's Temple, first complete the Shrines of the Desert: Artemis challenges you to fight three legendary fauna. At Demeter's Shrine, defend the desert flora against the undead, then honor the fallen in the name of Aphrodite!

NEW CHALLENGES

A disabling cold courses through the Dark Forest, and a hot veil descends over the Ancient Desert! Mitigate the heat with an oasis swim or a cooling potion, but beware of the Crocodiles lurking in the warm waters!

NEW FACILITIES

Dangerous new quests require better gear! The Arcanist Bench imbunes the new resource Quartz with energy, creating powerful shards and crystals! Once you have dethroned Poseidon's royal champions, conquer the Mediterranean weather with Demeter's Kythera.

POSEIDON'S TRIDENT

Inspired by the weapon crafted by the Cyclopes in Poseidon's war against the Titans, the Trident conjures volumes of water to drown the wielder's enemies.

Deluge - After 5x light attacks, an orb of seawater engulfs foes, damaging them overtime.

APHRODITE'S STILLBLADE

When passion and beauty weren't sharp enough, Aphrodite wielded the Stillblade to shackle the minds of men.

Lovespell - After 10x Light Attacks, a burst of energy weakens all enemies within a 10 meter radius.

ARTEMIS' SPIRIT BOW

By Artemis' request, Hephaestus finely tuned the Spirit Bow to fire as fast as Hermes and to pierce several targets at once like fleeing birds.

Hollowed Ground - After 5x successful hits, your next shot will split into 4 arrows.
