With two years and three major updates down in Early Access, we are transitioning our focus to our 1.0 Release. We weighed feedback from our players with our internal goals, and here we've outlined the features we plan to implement into the game by the final release.
The key below serves to provide our players transparency on the status of each feature and how soon they may see it added to the game. For features marked "Coming to 1.0," you can expect to see these addressed no earlier than 1.0. For all "Updated, but Incomplete," these features have already been addressed in a previous update, but are still being expanded upon by or at 1.0. "Complete" features are already implemented, likely with only minor improvements planned.
This is a living roadmap, meaning it may be adapted as needed moving forward. We will be keeping it up-to-date with current developments.
Before our 1.0 Release, we are anticipating multiple major content updates, which will center around the biomes of the Crossroads and each add new enemies, gear, and quests! Our Dark Forest "Sisters of the Deep" update released June 2025 and our "Desert Reign" update released December 2025. Next series of updates "Hounds of Zeus" will begin to release in Q2 2026, starting with an overhaul of the mountain biome and culminate with a separate release of the Temple of Zeus raid!
We will update the estimated release dates as we move along.
The Dawn of Defiance odyssey continues into the Smolikas Mountains! Descend into the depths of Aegea to complete the shrines of Hera, Hermes, and Dionysus to unlock Zeus' temple and challenge his champions!
"Hounds of Zeus" expands Dawn of Defiance with Zeus' skyborne arenas, two new mythic enemies types, new weapons, a cooking update, an overhaul of the mountain biome and temperature status effects & more!
MYTHIC HARPIES | HERA'S SUNDIAL | FARMING 1.0 | FROSTBURN CAVERNS
