Last Friday, August 15th was our 1 year anniversary in Early Access! We wanted to thank all of our players for joining us so far in early access and lending your valuable feedback throughout this open-development process! We're really excited to continue working on Dawn of Defiance to make it the best Greek-myth survival craft game on the market!

DESERT REIGN

Our next major update is already well underway and coming to players before the end of 2025! Dawn of Defiance "Desert Reign" will bring a new raid to the Temple of Poseidon in the Ancient Desert with more puzzles, more gear, and more enemies! It will also bring additional skill levels and the first iteration of character creator, including the female player model! That's right, you will be able to play a woman on the Crossroads THIS YEAR!

You'll see "Desert Reign" now reflected on an updated Roadmap graphic which has moved a couple features to a separate category. As we intend to expand on the raids, enemies, and gear with every major update, you'll see those remaining in the "updating soon" category as a "regular" feature. Features specific to the next major update will move to "in-progress," as you'll now see for "character creator."

This information was first revealed and discussed on our Twitch, including a conversation with Game Director Tony. The VOD is temporarily saved on Twitch, and it will be archived on our YouTube channel. If you wish to join our livestreams for future announcements and behind-the-scenes developments, make sure to follow us!
